This Website’s Still up?

Howdy loyal fans!!! Wondering why the site hasn't been updated in 2 months? Well, the answer is simple - I was testing you, all of you, to see who was really a fan, versus who was jsut reading it because it was the popular thing to do at the moment. I'm glad to know everyone reading this page is unpopular, like me. Anyway, yea, to tell you what's going on now, I did orientation, It was a total blast, then I moved into Jenn's apartment for the summer, where I got a freakishly not fun sinus infection. While I'm here, I've been getting some of her stuff set up, like, ehr cable, her internet, and her bed, among other amnenities, like a garbage can, and the outside closet where we keep the bodies. . .I mean, the lawn chairs. Anyway, yea, I've been pretty bored, hanging out with some of the OL's, but mostly staying at home like a loser. I went home for the 4th of July, and got a car when I came back, yay. I've been trying to do as much damage to the car as I can, you know, running into peopel, driving off the road a lot, that sort of thing. Actually, the other day I ran it head on into a wall about 6 times, jsut because I thought the front wasn't flat enough. Umm, what else? I broke a 3.0 GPA with my grades last quarter, look out, 3.5 cumulative GPA is on the way. umm, otherwise, there's not much else. I'm a boring person. I play a lot of Banjo and Kazooie because I have no life, and now that I beat it I actually have to spend all my time studying. It's really not fair at all. So, new stuff is what you want? Ok, I've been working on a new song, and here it is. It's just an idea, but whatever, maybe one day it'll make me famous. What else? I have a giant red ball, available for viewing here. Yea, it's sad, but whatever, he makes me happy, so it's all good. And this is funny Well, I'm out of other interesting news, so please stay tuned, as I should be undergoing my transformation into a full blown butterfly any day now, and I can't wait. All those damn people calling me a slug, I'M A CATTERPILLAR FOR GOD SAKE!!! Bye.

Man, Tough Day

Ah, I see you have once again stumbled upon my litle website. If you are reading this, you must know that I have strived to overcome the toils of my challenges, and in this case, I have succeeded. The math homework is done, here at 4:00 AM on Tuesday morning. And thus leaves me til 3 tomorrow to catch up on sleep. Yes, faithful readers, it is now my deep desire to please the masses of fans that keeps me from slumber. But the cause is worthwile. So, how am I? Tired and stressed, but generally ok. This was a killer weekend. I had a music midterm to finish which consisted of 3 essays, I had a computer science midterm to study for today, I had a math lab to do, I had an orientation leader project to do, I had physics to read, and I had a cart to build for the Muir 40, a soapbox race around the quad. My design for the perfect card is flawless, and can be viewed in the Cart Pictures Zip File. The coolest thing is that for weapons in this race, you can use anything you would be willing to eat, so we have some nasty food concotions ready for the big race. My new partner, David Crimper (AKA Crimp) and I are planning to annhilate the competition with everything from marshmallow goo to hot tomato juice, to possibly live worms. Yummy. But anyway, that project must be completed by May 11, the day of the race. Also this weekend, I was extremely sick, as I was getting over one of the worst colds I've had in most of my life. It was not fun. So, what does this week hold for me? I have another computer science project to begin on, but it's not due for some time. I have a physics quiz on Friday, so I'll be reading that. I'm compiling songs for the CD that we'll be using at Orientation, so that will be fun. I will be working on the cart all week, tons of fun. And, I'll be starting on next week's math homework, so I'm not stuck in a crunch again. I also would like to begin making a flash animation for the site, which I think would add a ton of needed pizzaz to this modest little site. Busy, huh? Well, I'll concentrate on the schoolwork first, then on the fun stuff. Man, can you tell I'm sleepy, I have nothing to say. I have been keeping a foil ball of the metal on gum wrappers, and it was the size of a golf ball, but on my way to my music lecture today, it fell out of my pocket and is gone, so I'm beginning a new one. (For those of you who can't sense the love I had for the old ball, I was literaly almost in tears when I realized I had lost it. That was a good month of solid gum chewing, down the drain. I hope to search for it tomorrow, if I wake up) Umm, how about this, I got these 2 funny/cute little programs in the mail this weekend. Virtual Viagra is this neat little thing that shows you what your mouse is like on viagra, just click to close the effect. The Sheep Program is this neat little desktop buddy that walks around and is funny. If you hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift and double click him, you can control him. To close him, click on him and press Alt+F4. You can have like 9 of them open at once, they're fun. OOOOHHHHH!!!! SPONGEBOB GAME!!! Go here! NEATO!!! Ok, well, I'm super sleepy, so until next time o faithful readers, check me out.

7 Month Anniversary!!!

Ok, sorry I haven't updared the site in a few days, but I have my reasons. First of all, I have fought the battle of champions, on the battleground where heroes are made and martyrs are born. I have raised my sword in defense, and now I stand before you, a broken, defeated man. Yes, to those of you who know me, I have a cold. A rather bad one at that. But, I'm on every medication Jenn can find, and I've gone through literally 2 full boxes of kleenex, so hopefully I'll live through it. Let's see, Tuesday was spent for the most part of the day doing math homework, and then thinking about my music midterm. Wednesday sucked. Look at my schedule here, and remember that inbetween my CSE class and my OL training I have an hour long OL meeting, and after OL training i have an hour long Welcome Week committee meeting. Yes, for all those non-math majors out there, that's 8 hours of classes. Wow. And I have a cold. Now that you're all impressed with my supreme ability to withstand the elements (and my extreme sexiness) I'd like to inform you that I also went to the computer science lab to turn in my project, and I worked on my music midterm. What a day, huh? And you thought mondays were bad. So, yea, I'm sitting here, now, just thinking about how sad my nose is, when I became musically inspired. I decided to write a little improvisational song about how sick I am, and yes, I have it available here. Listen to it, remember I made it up as I went along, and when I make my CD, I'll send you a signed copy if you e-mail me here. So, this brings us to the focus of today. Today is Jenn and My 7 month Anniversary!!! YAY!!!! So, we're gonna go to a nice restaurant this weekend and celebrate, and it'll be a whole ton of fun. You all should look at her in my Jenn's Pictures Section. Ok, I have other stuff to do, so until then, my name is Joe-z, pronounced with an o-z.

Monday Update, BirdBrain’s Story

Here I am at 2 in the morning, about to go to bed, and since I have no class til 3:30 tomorrow, I thought I'd add to this little joy of my life. Monday was fine, let's see, aced a computer science quiz, pointed out a mistake that the comp sci professor made, and after he told me it was just something I had done wrong, he e-mailed the whole class saying that the assignment was wrong. SMACK!!! HAHAHA, I am programming master king. So, anyway, then I ate, went to music, we watched "The Thing" which is some old black and white film about a vegetable alien, kinda cool. That's about it, I did some of my math, I'll finish it tomorrow before class. What else, we moved the fridge in our room today because Jason (My roommate) got some bad sectors on his hard drive, and we were thinking that they may be because of power surges caused by the fridge, being that they're all on the same plug. Needless to say, the room is rearranged, and it feels a little bigger. So, that is about all I have to say, now I think I'll tell you the story of BirdBrain the Bird.

On Saturday night, as Jason and one of my other suitemated Ravi were walking home from the gym, a bird basically came out of nowhere, almost hit them, and flew himself into a wall. Not good. So, they took the bird to the local restaurant, where they fed it food and water and began to nurse it back to health. They even named it BirdBrain. It was showing signs of improvement, until at the sight of blood Jason attempted to extend the bird's wing, when it flopped itself off of the balcony into first some bushes and then the concrete ground. They brought the bird back to the dorm, where we tried to revive it, but to no avail, as it promptly went into shock and died. I am a fan of the Stewart Art Collection here at UCSD, and I read that once, this group of kids ceremonially buried a dead Iguana under Sun God, a giant statue of a chicken with a sin on his head. So, we wrapped BirdBrain in a white cloth, put him in a cardboard box coffin, taped it up, and using an old skateboard deck, made him a tombstone. Jason wrote his memoirs, which read as follows:

From his egg, his head emerged into the first brilliant rays of the sun. Born with the gift of extraordinary strength, BirdBrain befriended many a bird. His compassion rivaling his strength of both body and character, touched each and every soul that…Old enough to leave his humble nest, BirdBrain embarked on his long and arduous journey to UCSD. He was a good bird. He studied hard, though he didn’t brag to be the smartest of birds, if you know what I mean. But on the fateful night of April 27, 2002 at the Social Science Building, startled by the approach of myself and RN, he flew discombobulated into a nearby wall. Struck with the pangs of compassion, we struggled to save him from demise but to no avail, as he valiantly flung himself off the Oceanview Terrace balcony, in order to cease his suffering. (He actually lived, but we went back to my dorm where he then died of shock.) He died a noble bird. He was my friend.

Truly inspirational words from someone deeply touched by the death. Needless to say, we gathered a hammer, some lighters, the box, the tombstone, and the rest of the broken skateboard deck, and the three of us, Jenn (My Girlfriend) and Ernest (another suitemate) left to perform the ritual. Using the puller end of the hammer , we hacked away at the ground for a long time, until my hammer broke, and we resorted to using the broken skateboard as a shovel and sticks from the forest to break up big chunks. Mind you, this was like 11 at night. So, we buried it, all held up our lighters, paid some dues, and left having paid due respect to someone that will live on in the heart of every smiling child.

New Website Is Officially Running!!!

Ok, so after soooo many hours of slaving over the computer, I finally have finished the new site. Although I know I'm the only person that really looks at this site, I thought it'd be nice to put an announcement board on it. There's still a lot to be done to the site, but at least it's functional and running. So, anyway, if you wanna see what I upgraded from, the oldest site can be found here and the most recent update of that site can be found here. Ok, I have more class on this horrible, horrible monday, and so you know what I'm talking about, I'll put a link to my schedule up sometime. K, later, peace out.
