With only a week to go before the "Ultimate Fighter Season 10" finale, the card is starting to take shape with additional fights are announced featuring eliminated cast members. Only five fights have been officially announced by the UFC, but sources have confirmed several other bouts taking place on the card.

UFC 110 continues to take shape with a rumored light heavyweight bout between Igor Pokrajac (21-6) and UFC newcomer James Te-Huna (12-4). The event, scheduled to be the organizations first foray in Australia, will take place at Sydney's Acer Arena. Additional bouts rumored for the card include Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva (32-10-1, 1 NC) vs. Yoshihiro "Sexyama" Akiyama (13-1, 2 NC), Nate "The Great" Marquardt (29-8-2) vs. Chael Sonnen (24-10-1), and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic (25-7-2, 1 NC) vs. "Big" Ben Rothwell (30-7).

Ask almost any MMA fan what the most stacked weight class is in MMA and you will certainly hear that the 205 pound light heavyweight division is king. Particularly in recent years, the UFC light heavyweight title has been one of the most highly contested, with champions defending the title for only a single fight, if at all. Nevertheless, fans may have noticed a significant omission to the division that really challenges the “mixed” aspect of mixed martial arts. Light heavyweight fighters have largely ignored the ground game, and instead have focused primarily on the striking and clinch elements of MMA.

Arena in Manchester, England. The event will be broadcast live in Canada on Rogers Sportsnet at 3pm (est) and on Spike TV at 8pm (est) tomorrow. The event features Randy "The Natural" Couture's return to the light heavyweight division. Waiting to welcome him is Brandon "The Truth" Vera. Also, U.K. favorites Dan Hardy, Michael Bisping, Ross Pearson, James Wilks, Andre Winner, and others are scheduled for the card.

The General Assembly of Rhode Island voted on October 29 to pass Act S 0622, permitting mixed martial arts competition in the state. This bill is significant, not only due to its showcasing of the changing attitudes towards the sport in the American Northeast, but due to some specific provisions in the law as to how the sport will be overseen.
