I'd choose a million gods that "only love me a little" ESPECIALLY if they're nice animals like elephants over one god who apparantly loves people so much that he allows his alleged son, who he sould love more, to be tortured and beaten and murdered and then uses that son's corpse as the symbol for that love in the future.

Wait…Adobe still sucks.

Ok, You may have read my Adobe rant, need another complaint?

I've been working here since July 16th, and still haven't been able to install CS3. Their current recommendation, after having me create new user accounts, remote desktopping, uploading logs to their FTP site and crazy other things?

Reformat my computer.

Ok, Adobe, thanks. Next time I want to spend 1200 on your shitty software that doesn't work well anyway, I'll remember that I need to include the time and energy in reformatting when I do a cost assessment. You don't have the right to produce and distribute software if your customers can't install it.

What is a veto?

Bush is vetoing a bill which is expanding children's health care. He's vetoing it for 2 reasons. One, he thinks Democrats are trying to gain successes to earn "political points" in Washington. Two, it's not the bill he wanted to see, he says "I'm vetoing it and send it back in this form with these rules or I won't sign it."

This is not the point of the veto. If Bush wants to make laws, go into congress. It's congress's job to make laws and vote on them and pass them, the veto is for the president to exercise some huge control as a check on congress when they've been completely backwards. Remember that, it's a check and balance, not a twist of an arm behind a back to force congress to act in a certain way.

My gospel of “ctrl+scroll”

I have known this trick forever, and recently I've noticed I'm pretty much one of three people who know it at all. It was when some other IT guys at work didn't notice it, and not only didn't notice it but were really impressed with it, that i realized I need to spread the word of this gospel.

Hold the control key and scroll with the wheel on the mouse to zoom in and out.

Text too small to read? "ctrl+scroll." Content won't fit on a page to print? "ctrl+scroll." Need to make something bigger in word, excel, internet explorer, notepad, or almost any other windows program? "ctrl+scroll." I've used this since MS came out with the scrolling wheel mouse, and it's so useful I can't beleive everyone doesn't know it. I use it as much as "ctrl+c", "ctrl+v", or "ctrl+s". Use it people.

And lo, it was good.
